  Involved with a JW woman

  okay so i'm dating a born-in jw woman, she's younger than me and has no kids.

  i'm a christian man whos divorced with 2 kids.

  we're in love and seriously want to be together.

  Hello Jonza,

  Just want to chime in here, add my voice to the others who have told you the absolute and miserable truth about getting involved with a jw.

  I read where you have researched many websites; if you haven't checked out The Watchtower Files dot com yet, it's a good one with lots of info about marrying a jw - just have to read the articles and comments and you will find more people who say the exact same thing. A lot of discussion of mind control and the different effects of it.

  I'm 61 and just a few years out of the WT. I am just beginning to feel like I'm thinking for myself, after many months of working to deprogram. The deep roots of mind control planted in each and every jw are difficult if not impossible for anyone to understand who has not been subject to a cult like this.

  Being in love is like an addiction but if you can detach from emotional rationalization and look at facts, you will disentangle yourself and save the rest of your life from a predictable, profound negative turning point. I wish your children and you much health and happiness in freedom!

  Im new and need help!

  hello everybody, before i begin i just wanna say that i have really found alot of great posts on here that have been helpful forme , theres definitely alot of brilliant people here!.

  i am a born in jw(24 years old) ive been baptized for 7 years and was a ministerial servant for 4 years(i am no longer one).

  recently me and my parents have have woken up to ttatt(about 2 months ago).

  Disaster looms - after the kids come along, have their little minds shaped and warped by the WT, and if their dad doesn't obey and follow the program, poof! You're out of their lives, because you're disloyal to GOD.

  Have enough love for your unborn children to walk away from a cult member, or be a slave the rest of your life just to be able to live around your kids.

  my brother's wife just died.

  it seems someone in my family is dying every month lately.

  i guess when you get my age everyone you are friends with will be gone soon, including myself.. ken p..

  Jimmy Carter is old, nearly 90. But he's neither inept or a fool. I tell you what, when I hear an old southern white man affirming that he believes women are equal to men, and should not be subjugated and regarded as property to be owned, bought and sold, used, abused, demeaned and diminished simply because of gender - I have hope for this world.

  All of the above, plus believing there were angels accompanying the service groups, keeping them all from any harm. Everybody got mad at me one day when I said, "What's the difference between believing in guardian field service angels and wearing a St. Christopher medal? Both are superstitions!"

  Story of a friend that woke up.

  its kinda funny that about a year ago this friend went to my elders and turned me in for asking and maybe stating a few things to him that i guess made him feel unconfertable.

  but over this same time his mate was sleeping around and he has been in the truff for 55 years roughly, born-in.

  we continued to work together and i keep my mouth shut.

  Blame the victim. I think most elders individually and as a group, just get mad when anyone's sorrow isn't magically mitigated by applying their recipe of studyservicemeetingsprayer. They get mad when people need emotional help because they don't know what to do. They want you to pretend you're okay. In addition to all the other pretending involved in being a jw.

  His interviews with Letterman and Colbert were unbelievable; so caring and smart. And he is nearing 90! I wish I had appreciated him when he was governor of GA and then pres, but I was too stupid to be community-minded. I wish I had supported him. But I do now. I'm going to the Carter Center for his next book signing.
